A brief introduction to an item that has very little info...
There is really no information online about this device, so I ordered a couple to try out on HS.
Perhaps my review will help answer questions the description and info does not cover.
First of all, about inputs.
There are 8 of them that are analog. The input range can be up to 10v, but properly will be 0-5v voltage reading on each channel.
The outputs can be configured as inputs also, however they are digital only. This unit can provide 14 inputs if used in this manner.
Inputs are polled every second (by default) and can be adjusted in HS.
OUTPUTS:
There are 8 outputs, digital only (not able to set a voltage - just 0v or 5v out.) The outputs are directly suited for activating SSR's and I would suggest using them for isolation.
The unit will retain output in the event of loss of communications, however during 'reconnection' it will bring ALL outputs to "OFF" for a second or so until homeseer polls. This could be a problem if you do not pay attention to this in design.
