| Important Information |
The System Controller Diagnostic Service should be purchased by anyone requiring repairs for their out of warranty PRO-100 or HomeTroller units. The procedure works as follows: - You MUST back up your HomeSeer configuration (if possible). Copy the entire HomeSeer folder to a thumb drive AND TO another computer for safe keeping.
- Submit an RMA request for a repair at http://helpdesk.homeseer.com.
- Once you receive your RMA#, purchase this system controller diagnostic service and ship the unit to us. If you wish to have us restore your HomeSeer config, be sure to include your backup thumb drive in the shipment. Be sure to print your RMA# on the outside of the box.
- Upon receipt of your unit, a diagnostic exam will be performed and you'll be advised of the options and fees:
Options / Fees: Diagnostic exam - $100 plus shipping fee This fee is mandatory for all out of warranty PRO-100 or HomeTroller repairs and includes the return shipping. Basic Software Repair (system restore) - N/C This fee is limited to running a system restore on the unit and is included in the diagnostic exam. Restoring HS2/HSPRO customer configurations is NOT included. Full Software Repair (system restore) - +$100 This fee will includes running a system restore on the unit and restoring your HS2/HSPRO configurations. A backup thumb drive must be included with the unit in order to perform this service. Be sure to tick the box for "Full Software Repair" to purchase this extra service. PRO-100 Replacement - +$1,000 This fee includes a current model replacement unit (may be new, "demo" or "refurbished" unit) and the "Basic Software Repair" service. Be sure to tick the box for "Full Software Repair" to purchase this extra service (if desired). The old unit will not be returned. HomeTroller S1, S2, S3 or S4 Replacement - +$600 This fee includes a current model replacement unit (may be new, "demo" or "refurbished" unit) and the "Basic Software Repair" service. Be sure to tick the box for "Full Software Repair" to purchase this extra service (if desired). The old unit will not be returned. Replacement units will carry a 1 year warranty, same as the original unit. If you decide to forego repair or replacement, we will simply ship the unit back using the shipping service they selected when they purchased the diagnostic exam. |
